Dr. Joseph Besser

FRACGP

Dr Joseph Besser graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2009. He trained at St George’s Hospital in London and has been working in General Practice since 2013.

While Dr Besser enjoys all aspects of general medicine, he has a particular interest in Mental Health, having worked at The Priory, RPA, Concord and Hornsby as a Psychiatry Registrar. Prior to joining the team, he worked as a GP in Mona Vale, Brookvale and with the National Home Doctor Service. Dr Besser enjoys teaching medical students with the University of Notre Dame and the University of Sydney.

Dr. Joris Broeders

MD PhD (Surgery), SCCA

Dr Broeders provides DWFMC with skin cancer medicine services, such as Skin Checks. Dr Boeders is not available for general medical consults.

Dr Joris Broeders is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with high distinction (Skin Cancer College of Australia and New Zealand). He graduated from Utrecht University School of Medicine in The Netherlands. After obtaining a medical degree, he completed his PhD in the Department of Surgery of the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 2011. He is registered as a medical specialist in Australia.

He has published numerous papers in leading surgical journals and has delivered presentations at surgical conferences worldwide. He sails on Pittwater and Middle harbour and plays beach volleyball in Manly. Occasionally he finds time to play golf at Long Reef

Dr. Michael Elstein

Dr Elstein consults Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

Dr Elstein’s areas of interest include preventative health and the use of natural remedies to treat common ailments like coughs, colds and influenza.

Dr Elstein does not do Women’s Health, Pap Smears, Childhood Vaccinations and will not prescribe drugs of addiction.

 

Dr. Douglas Falconer

Dr. Falconer’s interests include Under water medicine, Sports medicine, Paediatric medicine, Mens Health, Travel medicine.

Dr. Claire Mansell

MBChB, DSFRH, DRCOG, MRCGP, FRACGP

Dr Mansell is an experienced GP. She graduated from the University of Birmingham in the UK and has been working in Australia since 2013. Dr Mansell enjoys all aspects of general practice with a particular interest in women’s and children’s health. She also takes part in medical education.

Dr. Siva Rajadurai

MBBS UNSW, FRACGP

Graduated from Uni of NSW in 1999 followed by Internship at Concord Hospital, Sydney in year 2000. Spent further 7 years in NSW hospitals and the last 13 years in General Practice, including the last 10 years practising overseas in Ontario and Alberta, Canada as a Family Physician.

Attained Fellowship from Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2008 followed by Certification from Canadian College of Family Physicians in 2009. Had the opportunity to hold Clinical Lecturer positions for both University of Wollongong and University of Calgary allowing for teaching of medical students and potential Fellowship candidates.

Practice interests include Internal and preventative Medicine as well Cosmetic Medicine.

Outside of Medicine, being married with 4 kids, I have a keen interest in outdoor activities such as tennis, team sports as well as the psychology of team sports. I have also spent the last 6 years doing karate training.

Dr. Caroline Tezjan

Dr. Michael Wallace

MBChB, MRCGP, FAEG(RACGP)

Dr Wallace completed his medical degree in Edinburgh, Scotland and then GP training in the North-East of England. After a period of travel, he worked in the Emergency Department in Newcastle NSW for several months in 2000. IDr Wallace then returned to the UK and has worked as a GP in and around County Durham and Newcastle-upon-Tyne since then, gaining the MRCGP with Merit in 2004. Dr Wallace has however continued to visit Australia: with his parents now living in the North Shore

As a GP, Dr Wallace has always been drawn to the variety of medicine.  He came close to a career in Emergency Medicine – but the continuity of care, and ability to build ongoing working relationships with patients in Family Practice was the deciding factor. Dr Wallace is trained to provide lifelong care to all patient groups and has developed skills in chronic disease management. Other areas of interest include cardiovascular disease and risk management, as well as respiratory medicine and men’s health

Alisar Kanjrawi - Dietician

Bachelor Science (Physiology); Master of Nutrition and Dietetics

Alisar is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist (APD, AN) and a member of Dietitians Australia. She completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Sydney and was awarded Master of Nutrition and Dietetics with Deans’ List of Excellence in Academic Performance commendation.

Alisar has worked in various roles across a range of nutrition specialities through her experience as a clinical dietitian at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). She is proficient in working with individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis and heart disease.

Alisar has a special interest in gut health and gastrointestinal disorders, particularly irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). She has completed training in IBS management and the low FODMAP diet and is a certified Monash University FODMAP Dietitian.

Rod Ingram - Physiotherapist

Bach.App.Sci.Physiotherapy, Grad.Cert.Diab.Managt, Cert.Massage Therapy

Rod is an accomplished Physiotherapist with over 25 years of experience in the health industry. He is a graduate of Sydney University, completing his Physiotherapy degree there in 1995. He has also studied Human Movement Science and completed a graduate certificate in Diabetes Management and Education at UTS. In recent years he has assisted in research projects with Sydney University including chronic lower back pain and whiplash injury management.
Rod has a wealth of training in treating injuries of all origins, ranging from the workplace to sporting fields. His clinical interests include not only musculoskeletal physiotherapy, post-operative and sports rehabilitation but also holistic health management.
Away from work Rod is married with 4 children and keeps active with touch football, surfing and mountainbiking on the Northern Beaches.
